Sixty scholars finished the 2025 cycle. Fifty-six are practising in Myanmar today, across eighteen hospitals and nine community clinics - a retention rate we did not expect in year one.
The difference was mentorship, paired at admission rather than graduation. Each scholar had a senior nurse to call in the first hard month, which is when most attrition happens.
We are extending the same pairing to caregiving and public health cohorts from the 2026 intake onward, and publishing retention annually.
